Team Active Racing was started in 2007 to help promote the sport of cycling in and around Battle Creek and the surrounding area. In addition to providing an outlet for competitive cyclists to pursue their love of racing, the focus of the team is also on providing education to the community on living a healthy lifestyle through the sport of cycling. The team also helped promote safe bicycle routes to schools for the children of the community and promotes the overall health benefits cycling provides for the environment and our health. All 20 members of Team Active Racing are centers of influence in the cycling community and truly have a love for the sport. Their commitment shows in their dedication to training, participation at events and overall support for the sport in and around the community.

After enjoying the benefits of lightweight, well designed racing equipment, it was a shock to us the first time we paddled with heavy, unrefined touring kayaks and paddles.
